FAQs
-
Sound healing is a holistic practice that uses the vibrations and frequencies of sound to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Instruments like singing bowls, gongs, tuning forks, and the voice are commonly used to bring the body and mind into a state of harmony and balance, promoting deep relaxation and healing on all levels.
-
Sound healing works through vibrational resonance and entrainment. Everything in the universe - including your body - vibrates at a certain frequency. When you’re stressed or unwell, these frequencies can fall out of balance. Sound healing works by using specific tones and vibrations to help “retune” your body’s energetic field, restoring balance and harmony.

People often say they experience:
Deep relaxation and reduced stress
Better sleep and mental clarity
Relief from anxiety
Improved focus and clarity
Relief from physical pain or tension
Enhanced mood and emotional release
Greater spiritual connection
-
Is sound healing safe?
Yes. Sound healing is a gentle, non-invasive practice that’s generally safe for most people. However, individuals that have:
· Epilepsy or seizures
· Had surgery in the last 6 weeks
· Pacemakers or implanted medical devices
· Severe mental health conditions
· Experience sound sensitivity
should consult their healthcare provider and speak to their practitioner before attending any session.
If you are pregnant and in you first trimester or last 4 weeks of pregnancy, you should not attend a Soundbath.
-
Not at all. Sound healing works on a vibrational level, meaning your body responds naturally to the frequencies -regardless of your belief system.
-
You will typically lie down or sit comfortably while the practitioner uses instruments or voice around or over your body, to produce sound creating a peaceful, meditative space for healing. Sessions can be one-on-one or in a group setting. You may experience deep relaxation, visual imagery, emotional release, or physical sensations. Some people feel nothing at all, which again is complete normal, your body will receive what it needs regardless of your “outer experience”.
-
This depends on your individual needs and intentions. Many people report feeling lighter and more centred after just one session. Others find regular sessions beneficial for ongoing healing and alignment or spiritual growth.
-

Absolutely. Sound Healing works beautifully alongside other modalities like yoga, meditation/breathwork, reiki, massage therapy, and traditional medicine.
-
Yes! The science behind Sound Healing is a growing and emerging field and it is a very exciting time for Holistic practices. Studies show that sound frequencies can help shift brainwave states, reduce cortisol (the stress hormone), and promote relaxation. Research in fields like vibrational medicine and neuroscience continues to support what ancient traditions have preached for centuries: sound is a powerful tool for healing.
